Ecosystemic Dependence and Autonomy

Abstract

            We develop a generalized structural representation for the emergence of multi-level hierarchies in natural systems, and for the characterization of hierarchical Alife entities and systems. Level emergence is related to inter-level transport of order and novelty in solid-state crystals and bio-molecules. Co-ecosystemic development is related to a complementary birational model of dependence and autonomy, within which hyperscalar precursors of understanding, learning, and logical and emotional operations appear.
